HAMPTON youth group Romsey Mill has been recognised with a Civic Award by Peterborough City Council. Romsey Mill is a Cambridgeshire-based charity working in Hampton since 2017 supporting young people, many of whom are vulnerable for a variety of reasons, with innovative projects designed to meet their needs and interests.
Lead youth development worker Dave Read was presented with the award for their contribution to arts and culture, in part due to a project facilitated by ward councillor Nicolle Moyo that saw a dingy underpass transformed by a colourful mural. Read full story here.
The annual award programme run by the council is open to groups and individuals who have made an impact on the community. "We are proud the positive impact of our work with young people in Hampton has been recognised in this way," he said.
