TICKETS are now available for our celebration luncheon to mark the Coronation of King Charles III. The event takes place at Peterborough Milton Golf Club on Thursday May 11th. Guest speaker is Miranda Rock (pictured), director of the Burghley House Preservation Trust.
Burghley stands-in for Windsor Castle in the award-winning Netflix television series The Crown, the latest in a long line of television and film roles for this beautiful house, situated in North West Cambridgeshire constituency, and part of Barnack ward. Built by William Cecil, Lord Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I, his descendants still live there today, caring for the house, gardens and wider estate through the Burghley House Preservation Trust.
We are delighted therefore to welcome House Director Miranda, a cousin of Michael, 8th Marquess of Exeter, as our very special guest to help celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III. Shailesh Vara MP will also be joining us.
The event is open to non-members so feel free to share this invitation with friends and family. Tickets are £30.00 per person for a two-course luncheon. Menu options include a Coronation Rack of Lamb, a new dish invented for the occasion by celebrity chef Ken Hom.
To reserve your place, or for more information please contact Association secretary Judith by email [email protected] or by telephone 07906 589985. A full menu and payment details will be provided by return.
We look forward to hearing from you very soon.
