One of two Conservative Huntingdonshire councillors representing this large geographical district, Marge looks after the parishes of Alwalton, Chesterton, Elton, Morborne, Sibson-cum-Stibbington and Waternewton. Her fellow councillor Tim Alban covers Conington, Denton and Caldecote, Folksworth and Washingley, Glatton, Great Gidding, Little Gidding, Holme and Stilton. Both were re-elected in May 2022.
Marge currently sits on the council's licensing and protection committee which covers a variety of regulatory obligations from taxi licensing and street trading to environmental health, anti-social behaviour and community safety. She is also a member of the Hinchingbrooke Country Park Joint Group and the Great Fen Project steering group.
Marge is a member of the Association management team as vice-chairman (south) after a short spell as deputy chairman (memberhsip and fundraising). In January 2023, she was elected chairman of the NWCCA Ladies Luncheon Club.
