First elected to represent Stilton ward on Huntingdonshire District Council in May 2015, Tim was re-elected in 2018 for the revised ward known as Stilton, Folksworth and Washingley. His Conservative co-councillor is Marge Beuttell... both were re-elected in May 2022. For more effective communication with residents, they each focus on a group of parishes while working together to ensure the entire ward is properly represented.
Tim covers the parishes of Conington, Denton and Caldecote, Folksworth and Washingley, Glatton, Great and Little Gidding and Holme as well as the village of Stilton. Tim's business experience helps him to contribute to the wider council debate on issues affecting the district as a whole.
He sits on the Overview and Scrutiny Committee which monitors the performance of the council Leader and Cabinet, challenging their decisions if deemed necessary. Outside appointments include the Internal Drainage Board (Conington and Holme).
Away from work and council life, Tim enjoys running, drumming and quizzing (although not at the same time!) and follows the fortunes of Cambridge United and Arsenal.
