ELECTION day is just around the corner for people living in the Peterborough City Council area. Here in North West Cambridgeshire we have eight candidates standing and we hope this reminder will encourage you to come out on Thursday (May 4th) and offer them your support.
This is a local election and local councillors are those who help make decisions on a day to day basis that affect us all, regardless of what might be happening at Westminster. In recent weeks residents across the city will have received an individual election leaflet from the Conservative candidate standing in their ward with additional newsletters in many wards providing more specific details on local activities and achievements.
Established councillors seeking re-election:
- Peter Hiller - Glinton & Castor ward
- John Howard - Hargate & Hempsted ward
- Brian Rush - Stanground South ward
Candidates seeking election for the first time:
- Matthew Bliszczak - Orton Waterville ward
- Davide Broccoli - Fletton & Stanground ward
- Rhys Evans - Hampton Vale ward
- Aqib Farooq - Orton Longueville ward
- Andrew Willey - Fletton & Woodston ward
If you have questions for any of our North West Cambridgeshire constituency candidates or indeed, sitting councillors, please contact them directly or send an email via [email protected]
NOTE: Please remember to take photo ID with you when you go to the polling station on Thursday.
