A MOVE to a new greener, more sustainable office in Lynch Wood marks a milestone anniversary for Royal Haskoning DHV... a welcome addition to the business community in North West Cambridgeshire constituency. The Dutch company celebrates its 140th anniversary this month (October) and invited MP Shailesh Vara to do the honours by cutting the traditional red ribbon.
The company, which operates in over 140 countries with a global workforce of 6,000 has moved from Bretton in neighbouring Peterborough constituency where its principal UK office has been based for many years.
Shailesh said afterwards: "It is very encouraging to see an international company of this calibre investing in the wider Peterborough area. I am particularly pleased to see their decarbonising agenda with a pledge to achieve zero net emissions. While continuing to provide sustainable solutions to its clients helping to make a difference to the environment and our society."
Welcoming Shailesh to the office, UK resident director and business unit director for industry and buildings, Europe Jonathan Bull said: "This new office is a great example of how we want to create a modern, healthy work environment that supports collaboration and creativity for our business in the UK. This is one essential element for attracting and retaining future talent."
Among the guests for the opening ceremony was Mayor of Peterborough Cllr Stephen Lane and deputy mayor Cllr Mohammed Jamil.
