Peterborough City Council announced local elections due to take place on 2nd May. 20 council seats are up for elections this year.
In North West Cambridgeshire we have three new candidates standing in three wards: Fletton and Woodston, Hempsted and Hargate and Hampton Vale.
On 21st March 2019 council officers from election services held a briefing to explain the election process from start to finish. Electoral law is quite complicated and designed to ensure integrity in the process. Police also briefed us on the procedures put in place to contact dedicated investigators if there are any concerns about electoral fraud.
