For our last luncheon of 2023 we are incredibly excited to welcome Karen Jankel, daughter of Michael Bond, author of the much-loved Paddington Bear books. Without giving too much away, we can promise you a fabulous afternoon as Karen brings to life the story of this brave little bear from darkest Peru and his subsequent evolution from the printed page to film. Not to mention his historic afternoon tea sketch with the late Queen Elizabeth, one of the highlights of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
As always, the luncheon takes place at Peterborough Milton Golf Club, with coffee served from 11.45am. This will be followed at around 12 noon by speaker and Q&A, with a delicious two-course lunch served at 1pm.
Tickets are just £25 per person and the event is open to non-members. To book your place please contact Judith at [email protected] or call her on 07906 589985.
